Tom Mark

Tom MarkTom was born in London and played various instruments from the age of 10 before finally settling on the double & electric bass. He studied at Leeds College of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama while playing bass with NYJO for four years, starting in 2000.

Since graduating Tom has worked with various bands and musicians, including the BBC Big Band, the John Wilson Orchestra, Listen to My Music – the music of the Ted Heath Orchestra, Back To Basie, Jay Craig and His Orchestra, Stephen Triffittʼs Sinatra Live at the Sands Concert and Ray McVay’s Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Tom has also accompanied Spike Robinson, Selina Jones, Tina May, Marion Montgomery, Ray Gelato, Gary Williams, Jeff Hooper, Matthew Ford, Kevin Spacey and Bruce Forsyth and has also played in the musical productions of The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas, White Christmas, Funny Girl and the Stoppard play Jumpers.

Tom first played with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra in 2004, before joining full-time in April 2010.
