Theuns van Dyk started sound engineering in a church in South Africa at the age of sixteen. In 2003 he moved to London and studied for a Foundation Degree in Music Technology at City of Westminster College. He first received the opportunity to do work experience with NYJO in December 2007. In May 2008 he started working as a freelance sound engineer at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and works at Boisdale of Canary Wharf and as Front of House Sound Engineer for James McCartney. He also works with Sound By Design in various venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Courts of Justice. He has worked with numerous bands from the worlds of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Soul and Classical music.
