Last week was an extremely busy one for NYJO with concerts in Stevenage, Bradfield, Barking and Cumbria.  In addition to performing on the night NYJO MD Mark Armstrong and NYJO members delivered education work with local children and young people – and in Cumbria helped spark aspirations for a new county jazz orchestra!

July sees a great set of gigs with appearances in the City of London Festival with the National Youth Chamber Choir (including a new commission for joint ensembles by Pete Churchill and Ellington’s Such Sweet Thunder) on 1 July and a return visit to the Rose Theatre in Kingston as part of our partnership with Kingston and Richmond Music Services on 4 July. On 10 July NYJO visits the Oundle Festival, followed-up by the Ryedale Festival on 21 July. All details below!

1 July – City of London Festival

4 July – Rose Theatre, Kingston

10 July – Oundle Festival

21 July – Ryedale Festival
