NYJO Academy Mentor Scheme is back

NYJO are delighted to announce that the NYJO Academy Mentor Scheme is back for its 2nd year! Following the success of the innovative scheme in 2017, NYJO are once again offering creative young jazz musicians the chance to gain hands-on practical experience working in education, with the aim of helping them to advance and develop their skills as music workshop leaders and equipping them with the skills necessary to become a 21st century jazz musician.

Alongside our experienced team of Musical Directors, mentors will receive training from leading jazz educators throughout the project in a supportive and safe environment, and will have the opportunity to support the delivery of NYJO Academy ensembles working with talented young musicians aged 9-21.

Applications for the 2018 NYJO Academy Mentor scheme are now open – click here for more details, including how to apply.
