Dave played double bass with NYJO from 1996 to 2003

Dave FosterDave played bass with NYJO from 1996 to 2003, during which time he was also studying at the Guildhall School of Music.

In 2004 Dave joined Dakota Music, where he learned composing and arrangement, working on a huge variety of projects including Hollywood blockbusters, West End Shows and Grammy Award winning albums.

He now runs Swing City Music, a boutique company that has been helping artists get their music from conception to the page since 2006.

Clients include Craig Armstrong (Far from the Madding Crowd), Marc Streitenfeld (Prometheus, Robin Hood), Murray Gold/Ben Foster (Doctor Who, Torchwood), Max Richter (Testament of Youth, Vivaldi Recomposed), Joby Talbot (Burke & Hare, Franklyn), Dru Masters (Silk) and John Metcalfe (Peter Gabriel’s Scratch My Back).

Dave continues to work  as a freelance arranger.
