He has been attending NYJO rehearsals since August 2006 and came through from the ranks of NYJO 2 into the main band.
He found that rehearsing with NYJO every Saturday enabled him to massively improve his sight-reading and general musicianship and feels that he has gained great experience from playing in a band – particularly learning from working with the other musicians and from band leaders Mark Armstrong and Bill Ashton.
Chris is also a tutor for NYJO London, which aims to provide coaching for aspiring young jazz musicians within the London area. He has greatly enjoyed his time so far in the band and is looking forward to many more years with NYJO.
The Trombone 2 Chair is supported by Sir Roger Vickers.
