Scott Chapman – Drums
May 25, 2012 by Steve
Scott Chapman, 20, from Pinner, Middlesex started playing drums around the age of 9 and has been playing regularly for NYJO 1 since the age of 16.
He is currently at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Martin France. Scott has played at many of the main venues in and around London, and hopes to be doing so more with his own band soon, which will also act as an outlet for his interest in composing.

Dear Scott
:).
Enjoyed your playing. Your kit and cymbals sounded great on the Proms.Good to hear a young world class drummer to be that can produce some nice rolls.
Early 70s I was based in the Royal Marines band Portsmouth, in the corps of drums. To better myself on kit I would come up to sit in for even one number,it was worth the journey. I’m coming back to playing again.Still have my Buddy Rich Slingerland kit,but I’ve had to buy about 18 cymbals, some like lots of drums, I like cymbals.
Two people who were in NYJO at that time were,Guy Barker and Simon Philips, where are they now ??
So at 61,never to young to pick up sticksand start playing again.
May I wish you all the best for the future.Stick at it.
Pete Law.Grimsby enroute for NZ soon.
