NYJO alumnus wins Grammy Award

At the 57th annual Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday night former NYJO trumpeter Steve Sidwell won a Grammy as orchestrator & arranger in the ‘Best Musical Theatre Album’ category for the new Broadway musical Beautiful – The Carole King Musical. Congratulations Steve!

NYJO nominated for Parliamentary Jazz Awards

News just announced: NYJO has been announced in the shortlist for Education Award in the 2015 Parliamentary Jazz Awards alongside Simon Purcell and Tommy Smith. Other nominees include NYJO London MD Phil Meadow’s group Engines Orchestra for Ensemble of the Year. Full information can be read here.
