Helen Wilson

Helen Wilson plays the flute and aged 12 took up a place at Chethams School of Music, Manchester, where she studied with Gitte SÃ¸renson, Linda Verrier, and Richard Davis. She then accepted a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), Manchester in 2007 to carry on her studies with Richard and now learns with Anders Ljungar Chapelon on an exchange programme at the Malmo Academy of Music in Sweden.

Henry Armburg-Jennings

Henry Armburg Jennings started playing trumpet (and piano) at the age of 5 and fifteen years later, at the age of only 20, he is already one of the hottest talents to emerge on the British jazz scene having opened the London Jazz Festival 2008 at the Bulls Head in Barnes.

Lauren Derwent

Lauren is a prolific song writer, vocalist, pianist and percussionist.

Lauren held the vocal and percussion chair with NYJO from 2003-2005, and in 2009 she signed an exclusive song writer’s agreement with Toolroom Publishing. Her compositions are catchy and thought provoking, and her lyrics address character development, morals, and raise social issues.

Mark Perry

Mark Perry is a 22 year old London based Trumpet player whom has recently graduated from Trinity College of Music. He has studied under the tuition of Pete Saberton, Steve Waterman, Paul Eshelby, Chris Batchelor, Barak Schmool, Nicolas Payton, Alex Sipiagin Mike Lovatt and Simon Purcell.

Mat Walton

Matthew was born aged 0 in York and began playing the trombone aged 11. After a few years learning through the local music service he became lead trombone in the County Big Band aged 16 and was already working with various local bands.

Ross Anderson

Ross, originally from Reading, has been playing the trombone since the age of seven. Starting with the Berkshire Young Musicians Trust, (now Berkshire Maestros) he played in small groups, through to large wind bands, brass bands, jazz bands and orchestras. He was a long standing member with both the Berkshire Youth Wind Orchestra and the Berkshire Youth Orchestra before completing his school studies and moving to London.

Sarah Makin

I play tenor/alto/baritone saxes and flute and clarinet. My principle instrument being clarinet which I feature predominantly in my own quartet playing pub and restaurant venues.I am a member of three big bands ,playing saxes in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire areas.I also regularly guest in a number of jazz quartets in the Beds/Herts and London areas.

Tom Stone

Tom is a saxophone and woodwind player, based in London. His versatility as a musician has allowed him to play in many different situations varying from his own nine piece jazz group, the Tom Stone Nonet, to Rock and Pop bands such as The Maccabees.
