Anna Drysdale – Horn

May 25, 2012 by Steve

A 20-year-old native Londoner, Anna now studies at RCM with Sue Dent and John Ryan. She also studies improvisation with Jim Rattigan, supported by the Peter Hinkley Trust.

She has played with the Wally Fields Jazz Orchestra at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and is one of the only horn players to have appeared at the Ronnie Scott’s Late Show improvising. Recent solo appearances include Strauss’s 1st Concerto, plus jazz appearances with Harrow Young Musicians at St John’s Smith Square and in Italy.

Anna has eclectic tastes and broad-based experience, with recent work including historical performance, Bollywood sessions, recording contemporary works, co-leading workshops for a London Philharmonic Orchestra outreach project and of course, NYJO itself.
